Job summary
We are looking for a Nurse Associate to join the team here at St James Medical Centre on a full or part time basis. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of great patient care supporting the existing team.
Main duties of the job
Run clinics undertaking appointments such as
- Chronic disease monitoring
- cervical smears
- vaccination clinics including childhood vaccines
- NHS health checks and new patient checks
- Phlebotomy clinics, Spirometry testing and performing ECGs
- Improve Safety and Quality
- Undertake additional training as required.
- Communicate effectively with patients to plan care.
- Communicate sensitive and complex information verbally and in writing , tailoring the delivery as needed.
- Help and support patients to maintain physical and mental well being.
- Maintenance of accurate and contemporaneous patient records using the EMIS system.
About us
We are based in semi-rural Rawtenstall and have a patient population of 9000 patients. We have the benefit of a number of additional Clinical roles in practice such as Clinical Pharmacists, Health and Wellbeing Coaches and Social prescribers along with a friendly and supportive clinical and admin team.
