Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for a IT Support / Administrator to
join our team.
This
is a busy office based role that is varied and is key to ensuring the smooth delivery of
services across the Practice.
The
ideal candidate will support the IT Manager in managing IT systems, as well as
ensuring data is accurately entered and reported. The post holder will support
all aspects of IT across the Practice (technical support, IT user management,
implementing new software and supporting patients with online access), along
with completing administrative tasks, including patient recalls, protocol
development as well as creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) for IT
systems.
The
ideal candidate will need to be flexible, proactive, and able to communicate
with a range of professionals.
Main duties of the job
- Daily troubleshooting of any IT problems that may occur throughout the Practice.
- Installing and moving hardware as required.
- Supporting colleagues with any IT issue that may arise in the Practice and those who work remotely.
- Respond to any Online Triage forms from patients that are sent to the IT department.
- Answering telephone calls from patients to assist with the completion of the online triage forms.
- Ensuring data has been correctly entered into the clinical system.
- Run searches via clinical system and input data on to spreadsheets.
- Running searches on Chronic Disease and Long Term Coniditions Patients and sending appointment invites (via text, email or letter)
- Assist with the IT set up of new starters.
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering when required.
- Assist with training new and existing employees with any changes and updates that occur with any IT systems.
About us
Launceston Medical Centre is a busy and committed team who work together in a recently refurbished and extended Practice, close to the beautiful beaches of North Cornwall and surrounded by countryside moorland.
Our team consists of 6 GP Partners, 8 Salaried GPs, 6 Paramedics, 2 Minor Illness Nurses, 4 Practice Nurses, Trainee Nurse Associate and HCAs, as well as experienced Management, IT, Reception and Administration support. Additional allied professionals who work within our team are our Clinical Psychology team, physiotherapists and Social Prescriber. We are also a dispensing Practice, with a experienced team of Pharmacy Technicians, dispensers and Dispensary Clerks. We are also proud to be a training Practice.
We run our own Primary Care Network (Launceston and Tamar Valley PCN) alongside our neighbourhood Practice, Tamar Valley Health and use our resources for the benefit of the whole community inclusively.
