In return, we can provide weekly educational meetings, practice wide meetings, opportunities to work within the team of clinicians and care navigators that deal with on the day patient appointments, as well as more routine days with 24 slots, protected time for workflow/path/letter management and hopefully a good work/life balance.
There is a partnership opportunity with this role, for the right candidate, looking to take the next step in their career. The practice currently has 5 partners, and are looking to potentially expand the partnership.
Main duties of the job
As a Salaried General Practitioner, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, providing high-quality medical care to our patients. Your main duties will include:
- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient consultations and examinations.
- Working as part of the acute assessment team, to triage patients into the right appointments, as well as manage any on the day queries from other clinicians and healthcare professionals.
- Diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions.
- Referring patients to specialist services when necessary.
- Managing chronic disease registers and participating in chronic disease management.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participating in practice meetings and contributing to practice development.
- Engaging in audit and quality improvement activities.
- Professional Development:
- Participating in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
- Engaging in regular appraisals and revalidation processes.
- Team Collaboration:
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the practice.
- Supporting and mentoring medical students or GP trainees as required.
- Patient Care:
- Providing patient-centred care and promoting health education.
- Ensuring patient confidentiality and adhering to GMC guidelines.

We are a friendly, dispensing practice based in north Cornwall in quite a rural setting. We are on the beautiful, and hard to beat, north Cornwall coast. With a population of just over 16,500 we are keen to provide our patients with the services they need, improve patient outcomes and to give continuity of care.
We are a friendly and supportive team, with lots of experienced members of staff that are on hand for advice and assistance. The practice is made up of 3 dispensing surgeries on the north Cornwall coast. We have a great MDT made up of our GP Partners, salaried GPs, Medical students and Registrars, sitting alongside Advanced Practitioners, Paramedics, Social Prescribers, Care Coordinators, Health Coaches, Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Tech, Nurse Practitioners, HCAs and all our dispensers, admin and secretarial teams.

We are a training practice, and as such are a supportive team.And we are in a great part of the country.
