14-16 HoursTo keep the surgery premises clean and tidy while taking into account the health and safety and confidentiality aspects of working in general practice.
To be able to follow colour coded surgery cleanliness check sheets.
Main duties of the job
Summary of duties
The cleaning of:-
- Office Accommodations
- Clinical Rooms
- Kitchen Areas
- Sinks
- Toilets
- Surfaces
- Floors
- Windows
- Cupboards, shelves, light fittings
Other duties:-
- Emptying bins
- Putting out red bin ready for collection - weekly
- Vacuuming
- Checking stock levels of household items
- Sweeping garage and rear of premises
- Loading washing machine with soiled linen as required
- Defrosting and cleaning fridges
- Any other jobs that the Partners, Practice Manager or Assistant Manager may request you to do.
Tidying:-
- Waiting Room
- Consulting Rooms
- Lounge
- Office and Admin Areas
- Changing sheets and pillowcases on examination couches daily, if appropriate.
- Changing clinical curtains with the clinical team when required.
- Making sure there are clean towels and dishcloths available
- Check paper towels daily in clinical room and toilets.
- Holiday/sickness cover for another Housekeeper.
