Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to come and work with our friendly, supportive, and excellent Nursing Team.

This is a part-time role at 24 hours per week; however you will be expected to work some additional hours to cover our Enhanced Access clinics during evenings and weekends, but these are worked on a rota basis and shared within the Nursing Team.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be expected to carry out a range of HCA duties including wound management, Phlebotomy, injections, BP/INR recording, ear syringing and some long-term condition reviews. Support will be provided throughout, and appropriate training will be given as required until fully competent to undertake the role.

We are situated to the north of the City of Plymouth and on the edge of Dartmoor in a purpose-built surgery containing modern and high-quality equipment using SystmOne as our clinical software. Our 4 GP Partners are supported by 3 Salaried GPs and a Retainer GP, Clinical Practitioners including Pharmacy Team and wider PCN ARRS staff; we have a highly skilled Nursing Team and excellent Administration and Management Teams. We undertake training of GP Registrars, Year 4 Medical Students and Student Nurses; we have consistently high QOF achievement and patient satisfaction, and we actively participate in Primary Care clinical research.
