& Ipplepen Health centre are seeking to recruit a patient centred GP to
join their team for 4 clinical sessions a week
Kingskerswell
& Ipplepen is a successful and well-regarded GP training and dispensing
medical practice in South Devon with a list size of 12,200. We have been rated
outstanding by CQC and rank amongst the highest nationally in our patient
survey results. The practice has an excellent reputation for clinical outcomes
and delivering quality patient centred services. We are a training practice
with a culture of personal development and education.
The
practice team is a friendly dynamic workforce of professional Management and
Clinical staff with excellent Admin support. The practice has a proactive staff
wellbeing ethos.
The
Health Centre is part of the Newton West Primary Care Network (PCN) and the
practice plays an active role within the PCN.
We
operate from two purpose-built premises, which also accommodate a Pharmacy and
a Dispensary.
Sessional
rate is £12,139 pa with an opportunity to work additional hours at an enhanced
rate. We provide protected study leave, dedicated time for team meetings,
internal CPD and opportunities to participate in quality improvement projects.
T&Cs
NHS pension scheme, professional and private indemnity covered by the
practice and recognition of years of service in the NHS.
The
practice uses TPPP SystmOne clinical system.
Main duties of the job
To
clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and
psychological perspective and plan clinical care accordingly referring patients
to other services/agencies in a timely manner
Undertake
a range of clinical duties including face-to-face consultations, telephone
consultations, home visits where appropriate, checking and signing
prescriptions, and managing associated clinical queries, paperwork and
correspondence
Generic
prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.
Screen
patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness and intervene
appropriately in line with current guidance.
Manage
patient care appropriately
Review medications following the appropriate
policies, NICE/local clinical guidelines and local care pathways
Klink
triage GP role- Participate in the practices triage system prioritisation, and management of urgent patient enquiries.
QOF
and LES engagement- Fully engage with all aspects of the
Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and Local Enhanced Services (LES)
Patient
reports - medicals (insurance - HGV - other assessments)- Undertake
medical reports, assessments, and examinations
Flexible
working and extended hours- Demonstrate flexibility in
working hours to support extended opening times, additional clinical sessions,
or Extended Access (EA) Working patterns may be agreed in advance in line with the
practice timetable and contractual arrangements.

- England Conforms to the National Performers List and is able to perform any such service as detailed within Regulation 24 of the National Health Service Performers Lists England Regulations 2013.
- Scotland Post CCT Performers List
- Wales All Wales Medical Performers List and All Wales Locum Register

- Appropriate defence indemnity
- Evidence of current validation
