Main duties of the job
As Patient Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Reception Team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and enhancing patient services. Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supervising the Reception Team to ensure excellent patient care and service delivery.
Managing staff rotas, performance, and training to maintain a high-performing team.
Acting as the first point of contact for patient concerns and complaints, ensuring timely and professional resolutions.
Overseeing administrative functions such as appointment scheduling, IT system support, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Contributing to practice development, process improvements, and service innovations to enhance patient experience.

This role plays a key part in staff development, service improvements, and enhancing the patient experience. Working closely with the senior management team, the successful candidate will liaise with clinicians, administrative teams, and wider healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
Key Responsibilities1. Reception Team Management

Develop and implement a structured training program for reception staff.

Assist in developing and maintaining practice policies and procedures.
4. Duty Manager Responsibilities
Provide first-line support for day-to-day operational issues.
Assist in managing maintenance concerns within the practice.
Support in resolving escalated patient issues promptly.
5. IT & Systems Management
Ensure effective use of IT systems, including SystmOne and Microsoft Office.
Provide troubleshooting support for IT issues when required.
Train and support staff in using key practice software.
6. Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to CQC, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.
