Job summary

We are searching for a motivated and passionate mental health nurse with a proven clinical background to continue to develop our First Contact Practitioner role within our organisation.

This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly driven health care professional with a passion for mental health to help develop our service, working alongside our current mental health nurse.

You will be working within the clinical team to deliver a high standard of primary care to our patients. Main duties of the job

The mental health nurse is a key clinical leader within the multidisciplinary care team and will have the responsibility to assess, plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate care, influence and drive change and promote health and best practice.

The successful candidate will have the ability and personal drive to shape and develop the role of a first contact practitioner alongside our health care team. You will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt in order to respond to the challenging demands of primary care.

The successful candidate will be proactive and have the knowledge and skills to manage their own clinic.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage a personal caseload.

About us

Ringland Medical Practice is currently situated in a temporary building while we wait on the completion of a brand new Health and Well Being Centre, due to be completed next year. The temporary buildings offer the comfortable working conditions you would expect from a purpose built, modern practice. We have a patient list of over 8,000 patients.

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Understanding of the pressures faced by GPs and healthcare teams. Understanding of QIF.
