Job summary
We are looking to appoint a part-time Salaried GP to work 5.5 sessions across two sites. We are a well-established forward thinking practice with a list size of approximately 9500 patients.
We have a good support team of Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Pharmacist, Paramedic, Physician Associate, Care Co-ordinator, Secretarial and admin team. We are supported by Community Midwife/District Nurses and Health Visiting teams.
Being a HUB site for our PCN we offer a wide range of services including first contact physiotherapy and first contact mental health worker.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations and queries, home visits, checking and signing prescriptions, dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner.
Take part in weekly on-call, work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of practice workload.
Contribute to successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
Clinics will have 15 contacts in morning and 15 in afternoon.
They will be required to take part in supporting the practice maintain and achieve high QOF/LIS/DES targets.
6 weeks Annual Leave which includes 1 week study leave full time (pro-rata)
About us
We are based in South Birmingham with a branch surgery in Alvechurch.
A high standard of patient centred care is provided by 5 GP partners and support teams. The clinicians provide a mixture of face to face and telephone triage appointments.
We use EMIS Web, Docman, AccuRx and Arden's Reporting tools. We are high achievers in QOF and IIF DES with an admin team to support this.
We have a CQC rating of Good and the latest ICB survey shows the practice has been voted by patients the 15th best practice in Birmingham.
We work closely with the Primary Care Network local practices and provide a HUB service through the PCN.
