Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Nurse Prescriber / Manager to join our busy, supportive, and friendly team.

Applicants must have excellent communication, organisational, management, clinical skills and demonstrate initiative. Candidates should be able to work alone or as part of a team.

Park View Surgery is a well-established, high achieving practice close to Loughborough town centre. We provide services under a GMS contract serving a patient list of around 8,000from a diverse ethnic and economic background.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be expected to have a practical and confident working knowledge of:

Managing a team,

chronic disease management, especially COPD, Asthma and diabetes,

delivery and management of childhood vaccinations,

travel health and vaccinations,

cervical screening,

contraception,

wound care,

and health promotion.

Park View Surgery is a well-established, high achieving practice close to Loughborough town centre. We provide services under a GMS contract serving a patient list of around 8,000 from a diverse ethnic and economic background.

We have 4 GP partners, a salaried GP, various ARRS roles as part of our PCN , e.g. Paramedic, MSK Physio, Pharmacists and Social Prescribers.

Our nursing team consists of 2 Practice Nurses, a Nursing Associate and, phlebotomist.

All supported by our friendly and effective reception, administration and management teams.
