Job summary
Opportunity to work within the dispensary of a rural GP Practice. The successful applicant will assist the Dispensing staff to provide prescribed medications to patients. This will include receiving deliveries of medications and other products, maintain appropriate stock levels and selecting and preparing medications to requirements. The ideal candidate will hold NVQ level 2 in Dispensing Services but training may be offered if needed.
The hours will be 20 per week over 3 days to include 8.00am start and at least 1 6.30pm finish. Additional hours will be required to provide holiday cover for colleagues
Main duties of the job
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications
- Record and monitor stock
- Handle patient queries and requests in a professional and efficient way
- To carry out all day to day tasks or activities to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the dispensary
