Job summary
Magnolia House Surgery and Kings Corner Surgery are working together to recruit a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly, supportive teams. This joint role offers a unique opportunity to work across two well-established, high-performing GP practices located just one mile apart in Sunningdale and Sunninghill.
You will play a vital role in supporting our nursing and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, including health promotion, preventative care and clinical support. Working across both practices will allow you to develop a broad range of skills, work with a diverse clinical team, and gain valuable experience within a forward-thinking primary care environment.
We are training practices with a strong emphasis on teamwork, learning and development, and we welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified Healthcare Assistants. Part-time or full-time hours considered (please enquire for further information).
Main duties of the job
The Healthcare Assistant will support the nursing and clinical teams across both practices by carrying out a range of delegated clinical tasks, supporting chronic disease management and health promotion activities, and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. The role involves direct patient contact, accurate clinical record keeping, and preparing and maintaining clinical environments. The post holder will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and contribute to the smooth and effective running of clinical services across both sites whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality and patient care at all times.

Undertake new patient health checks and NHS Health Checks

Support chronic disease management clinics

Measure and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation)

Assist with diabetes care, wound care, dressings, and removal of sutures/staples (if trained)

Undertake venepuncture (phlebotomy) and ECGs

Urinalysis and specimen management

Act as chaperone when required

Assist during minor procedures and sexual health clinics

Support achievement of QOF indicators and targets
Administering Injections (with appropriate training and required paperwork complete)
Clinical Support & Environment

Prepare and maintain clinical rooms and equipment

Monitor fridge temperatures, vaccine storage, and cold chain compliance

Ensure safe handling and disposal of clinical waste and sharps
