Job summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis.
Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating both drug and non-drug based treatment methods into a management plan.
Prioritise own workload and ensure effective time-management strategies are embedded within the culture of the team.
Utilise and demonstrate sensitive communication styles, to ensure patients are fully informed and consent to treatment.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for attending to patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional; diagnosing and treating patients presenting with minor illness; seeing and advising people in respect of their continuing medical and nursing needs. There may be a requirement to see extra or emergency patients.
The ANP/ACP will need to prioritise and triage the needs of patients accordingly, making any necessary referrals for investigations in the appropriate manner.
The ANP/ACP will ensure interventions are undertaken in line with best practice guidance and use advanced skills appropriate to the role, ensuring clinical competencies are maintained in accordance with the framework for advanced clinical practice.

We care for approximately 10,000 patients .The workforce consists of 3 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 2 ANPs and an extensive Nursing team. In addition, we have a clinical team including Pharmacists, OT and Physiotherapists and a dedicated reception, admin and dispensing team.

- Registered Nurse /First Level Nurse or other healthcare professional qualification leading to registration
- Evidence of degree level study or accreditation to advanced level
- Masters degree in advanced practice (for ACP)
- Evidence of completion of study in minor illness
- Independent/supplementary prescriber
Desirable
- Evidence of study in minor injury
- Evidence of study to conduct paediatric clinical examination
- Teaching/training qualifications such as ENB998 or equivalent
- Family planning
