Job summary
We are looking for a Paramedic Practitioner to join our team. We are a large friendly practice based in the centre of Maldon, Essex. This is a full time or part time post but the hours of work can be flexible.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate safe clinical decision making and expert care of patients within our Practice. They should be competent in history taking and clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
The successful candidate will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of the patient. The Paramedic should be able to manage clinical cases (mostly minor illnesses) and to be able to deal with presenting patient needs within a primary care setting.

The main responsibilities of the role include:
Work as an autonomous, accountable Paramedic, providing a holistic approach including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to deliver high-quality patient services in the home or practice.
Work closely together, and as part of a wider multi-disciplinary workforce including, GPs, pharmacists, nurses and social prescribers
Use advanced clinical skills to provide education to patients and service users, promoting self-care and empower them to make informed choices about their treatment.
Assess, diagnose, treat, refer, or signpost patients with undifferentiated or undiagnosed conditions relating to minor illness or injury, supported by senior clinicians as needed

We are a semirural friendly and supportive Practice, located in historic town of Maldon. We are a team of 5 GPs, specialist nurses, paramedic, pharmacists, physiotherapy and a social prescriber. We have a dispensary and a pharmacy onsite.
