Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Salaried GP/GP Partner to join our busy, dedicated team at Blackwater Medical Centre to cover six to eight sessions per week.

Main duties of the job

We require a General Practitioner to become part of our experienced team in providing medical services to individuals in our local community. The duties include conducting physical examinations of patients, creating treatment plans, raising appropriate clinical referrals and giving general health advice.

We would expect you to see patients with regard to care for their general well-being.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

To comply with all legislation applicable to practising medicine

Conducting physical examinations, tests or procedures to diagnose patients

Maintaining accurate medical records for all patients

Making recommendations for lifestyle changes to improve the patients quality of life

Prescribing medication, treatment or therapy to patients

Explaining test results and medical procedures to patients

Consulting with other Doctors about the specialised needs of some patients

Making appropriate clinical referrals

To complete paperwork and administrative duties

Active participation in achieving QOF targets

To take a share in on-call duties

We are situated in the Maldon area of Essex and currently have 5 GP Partners, 4 Practice Nurses, a Nurse Prescribers, Pharmacists, Physiotherapist, Healthcare Assistant, paramedic and a Social Prescriber. Our Practice has in the region of 13,000 registered patients and our clinical system is SystmOne.
