Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a professional
, friendly and enthusiastic experienced general registered nurse to join our
team for maternity cover from November. Ideally with varied experience in a primary care setting. 30-37.5hrs over 4-5 days weekly. 6-12 months depending of cover needs.
Successful
applicants are required to provide a standard disclosure barring service check.
Employer will meet disclosure expense.
Main duties of the job
Work will vary depending on the skills and knowledge of the individual;
Typically our nurses undertake the following;
Cervical smears swabs and other womens health , Wound care, ulcer care, dopplers
Removal of sutures, travel imms, ECGs , Asthma/COPD management, Chronic disease management, diabetic feet checks, lifestyle advice, contraception reviews, Child and Adult immunisations, Venepuncture (10 years+) , Near patient testing (INR) . Chaperone.

We are a 4 partner 9 GP training practice with 3 GP trainers, and a IP pharmacist who supervises pharmacist trainees.We offer a supportive environment for furthering skills and knowledge. Therefore the role maysuit a nurse with development aspirations.We are a two site practice, 10,100 patients, working out of modern premises with good links to the A470 corridor. Salary depending on skills and experience.
