An exciting opportunity has arisen at Bassingham Surgery for an accomplished, highly motivated Practice Nurse.
Managing long term conditions and all treatment room services.
The applicant should be willing to learn new skills, work as part of a team and be flexible in their approach. In return they will be supported by a caring and professional team.
The ideal candidate will be NMC registered and have previous experience of working within Primary Care. They will have the required level of training and competence and will work within patient group directions where these are available.
Main duties of the job
The main duties will include:
Delivery of Chronic Disease Clinics (to include Diabetes, full training will be provided if needed), QoF management, Routine Immunisations, Flu vaccinations, Childhood immunisations (delivered in line with nation vaccination programme) and other treatment room duties as required.
Provide associated clinical administrative duties such as processing clinical workflow, test results and referrals within your clinical competence.

We are part of South Lincoln Healthcare PCN alongside six other practices, employing additional roles, including Occupational Therapists, First Contact Physios, Clinical Pharmacists and Health & Wellbeing Coach, this aspect is continuing to develop constantly.

- Good clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of Diabetes or be prepared to undertake training in the very near future. Prescribe products to meet the needs of patients, with the practice population in line with local prescribing policy or be able to liaise competently with the GP's regarding medication.
