Job summary
Mount Road Practice are
looking for a Salaried GP for a fixed term contract for 6 month, to cover maternity leave.
The candidate will join an
ambitious, forward thinking and supportive team. The 6 month contract will
include working 6 sessions a week,2 out of every 6 sessions worked will be a
full day on-call.
The on-call session will
include working until 6:30pm and also include overseeing our total triage
service. Full training will be provided.
4 sessions will include
supervising GP trainees, Resident Doctors and supporting medical students.
Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
A standard session is 4 hours 10 min. In all advertised role
options we offer administrative time in excess of the BMA Standard Contract. Matching
the clinical sessions of partners, 10 minute appointments are usually scheduled
with some catch up slots, however, this can be flexible to accommodate personal
preferences, provided that the same number of patient encounters are delivered
(i.e. admin time can be used for catch-up throughout the day).
The clinical sessions will consist of appointments that have been triaged by a clinician and booked in by our Reception Team.
On-call days cover core hours for General Medical Services and
are structured differently. Currently the On-call GP timetable has no
pre-booked appointments, allowing for time to field urgent queries, provide
clinical oversight and oversee our Total Triage Service.
Our PCN Paramedic is primarily responsible for urgent
home visits; this post may include an occasional home visit but this would be approved prior to booking.

Staff wellbeing is also a
high priority and we welcome ways that we improve this in the workplace.
