Job summary

Road Practice are looking for a part-time salaried GP to join an ambitious,
forward thinking and supportive team. The
available opportunity will include working 5 sessions a week,2 out of every 5 sessions worked will be on-call. The remaining
sessions worked will be standard clinical sessions.
Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
A standard session is 4 hours 10 min. In all advertised role

the clinical sessions of partners, 10 minute appointments are usually scheduled
with some catch up slots, however, this can be flexible to accommodate personal
preferences, provided that the same number of patient encounters are delivered
(i.e. admin time can be used for catch-up throughout the day).
The clinical sessions will consist of a mix of face-to-face
and telephone consultations. The appointments are default face to face appointments, unless the patients requests a telephone appointment.
On-call days cover core hours for General Medical Services and
are structured differently. Currently the On-call GP timetable has no
pre-booked appointments, allowing for time to field urgent queries, provide
clinical oversight and supervision as necessary, as well as complete
administrative tasks. Our PCN Paramedic is primarily responsible for urgent
home visits; the on-call GP only has to undertake visits if the patients need
is particularly complex, palliative or in the unusual circumstances that the
visiting capacity has been used up. Home visits are normally a maximum of one per doctor per week.

the heart of what we do, is our vision to deliver personalised and high quality
