Job summary
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and compassionate GP to join our forward-thinking, supportive, and well-established practice. This role provides the chance to work within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while maintaining a sustainable and rewarding workload.
At our practice, we are committed to doing general practice the right way balancing access with safety, innovation with continuity, and clinical excellence with staff wellbeing. You will benefit from a structured working day, strong clinical and administrative support, and protected time to focus on patient care.
Main duties of the job
As a Salaried GP, your day-to-day work will focus on delivering high-quality patient care through a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations. You will assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute presentations, as well as support patients with ongoing health needs where required.
You will be responsible for clinical decision-making during your sessions, including prescribing, arranging appropriate investigations, and making referrals where necessary. The role also includes reviewing results, processing clinical correspondence, and completing associated clinical documentation to ensure safe and effective patient care. On-calls will be part of your remit.
You will work alongside an experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team, with a clear structure in place to enable you to focus on consultations and clinical workload during your sessions.
About us
We are a well-established, forward-thinking GP practice providing care to a diverse population of approximately 16,500 patients. Our team includes GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Pharmacists, and a highly skilled administrative team, all working together to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
We pride ourselves on being a supportive and collaborative place to work, where clinicians are valued and workloads are managed with sustainability in mind. There is a strong team ethos, with open communication, shared problem-solving, and a culture that recognises the pressures of modern general practice while actively working to address them. The team meets informally every lunchtime.
Our approach focuses on making best use of the wider multidisciplinary team, ensuring GPs are able to concentrate on clinical care. We have clear processes in place to support efficient working, alongside a commitment to continuous improvement in how we deliver services.
As a training practice with close links to the wider primary care network, we are engaged in developing the future workforce and adapting to the evolving needs of general practice. We offer a professional, well-organised environment where clinicians can feel supported, respected, and able to deliver high-quality care.
