Job summary
Cam & Uley Family Practice is a busy friendly practice of 11,000 patients. We are looking for someone to join our great reception team, to work 30 hours over 4 days.
Monday - 8am - 6.30pm (1 hour lunch unpaid)
Wednesday and Thursday - 1pm - 6.30pm
Friday - 8am - 6.30pm (1 hour lunch unpaid)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established practice.
You will provide a friendly and professional service to our patients, demonstrating good communication and organisational skills. You will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team; to use initiative and discretion.
Main duties of the job
Ideally you will have previous reception experience, preferably in an NHS setting. Working with SystmOne would be an advantage but is not essential. You will be IT competent, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties will include answering phones, dealing with patients face to face, care navigation and signposting, scanning documents, issuing prescriptions and other administrative tasks requested by the GPs and the management team.
You should be smart and well presented, adhering to the Practice dress code.
About us
We are a teaching practice. We have 4 GP partners, 6 GPs, a paramedic, 2 GP trainees, a clinical pharmacist, 6 nurses and 4 HCAs as well as a large team of administrative staff. We have 2 sites, the second being a dispensing surgery and you will be expected to be able to work at either site.
