An opportunity has arisen at Unsworth Medical Centre for a full-time receptionist to join our friendly team.

Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities
Summary of reception / admin tasks:
To receive,
assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare
professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way either in person (face
to face) via the telephone or via online requests, maintaining confidentiality
at all times.
Scheduling &
cancelling appointments using the EMIS clinical system
Reception desk
duties maintaining a friendly, professional and courteous manner
Answering the
telephone in a professional and friendly manner. Ensuring a positive outcome.
Accurate message
taking and conveying to appropriate person via tasks
Care Navigating
to appropriate services internally and externally (Pharmacy First, physio,
extended hours, ARRS)
Filing and
accurate record keeping with attention to detail
Following
practice policies and office procedures;
copy notes, annual recalls/reviews, healthchecks, flu recalls, child
immunisation appointments
Completing work
as per start and end of day checklists
Prescription
preparation in line with practice policy for both paper and electronic
prescriptions
Referral
management and liaising with providers
Liaising with
other agencies where appropriate such as; local pharmacies, district nurses,
midwives, health visitors, care homes, ambulance control, hospitals etc
Photocopying,
scanning
Support practice
in meeting NHS targets, QOF requirements and national standards

The practice is based on the outskirts or Bury in Unsworth.
We have at team of GP Partners, Salaried GP, Practice Nurses, Trainee Nurse Associate and Receptionist/Admin staff.
We are a training practice welcoming medical students, junior doctors and work experience placements
We have a team/family friendly ethos who strive to provide an efficient service to our patients based in the Unsworth community
