Main duties of the job

You will provide treatment room services, including wound care, immunisations and ECGs. The role also involves supporting the management of long-term conditions, carrying out women's health procedures and promoting health and wellbeing across our patient population.

Accurate record-keeping using SystmOne and adherence to infection control policies are essential. You will work collaboratively with HCAs and Nursing Associates as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintain mandatory training, and contribute to audits and service development.

Clinical DutiesYou will provide comprehensive treatment room nursing services, including wound care and dressings, injections and immunisations, phlebotomy, and ECGs. You will support the management of long-term conditions in accordance with practice protocols and competencies.

You will undertake routine womens health procedures, as appropriate to your training and experience, and deliver health promotion and preventative care tailored to a diverse patient population. Working collaboratively with HCAs and the Nursing Associate, you will ensure safe and efficient patient care.

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Previous experience working as a Practice Nurse in general practice
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied clinical workload

  • Awareness of, and sensitivity to, the needs of a diverse patient population

Desirable

  • Experience in long-term condition clinics
  • Immunisation and vaccination training
  • Womens health experience, including cervical screening
  • Experience using SystmOne
  • Understanding of QOF and primary care pathways
