Salaried GP 6 to 8 Sessions per Week

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive practice team. The successful candidate will work 68 sessions per week, managing a defined caseload and providing high quality clinical care to our diverse population of approximately 3250 patients in the Croydon area.

Role Overview

The post holder will provide the full range of primary care services, including:

Managing a personal list of patients

Assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide variety of health needs

Providing both face to face and remote consultations

Supporting patients with long term conditions

Participating in clinical meetings, practice development, and quality improvement activities

Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including PCN staff

Professional Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

Deliver care in line with the highest professional and clinical standards

Adhere to all Practice protocols, policies, and clinical guidelines

Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records

Work effectively as part of our multidisciplinary team

Ensure safe, patient centred care for both registered and temporary patients

Main duties of the job

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care

Deliver high quality, effective medical care to the practice population. Provide services in line with the requirements of the GMS contract. Prescribe safely and appropriately, following local and national prescribing guidelines.

Managelong term conditions, ensuring continuity and best practice care. Undertake home visits and managecare homeas required. Conduct telephone triage, eConsult reviews, and perform duty doctor responsibilities.

Clinical Administration

Process clinical and administrative tasks such as: Referrals, Repeat prescription requests, Test results, Medical reports, etc

Maintain accurate, comprehensive clinical records in line with practice policy, GMC guidance, and medicolegal standards.

Teamwork & Practice Operations

Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing the clinical workload.s

Attend and contribute to all relevant practice meetings eg: clinical governance.

Quality & Performance

Adhere to all clinical guidelines.

Take responsibility for clinical aspects of QOF, IIF, and other quality frameworks etc.

Teaching, Training & CPD

Engage fully with the annual appraisal and revalidation processes.

Commit to continuous development, mandatory training,maintain up to date clinical knowledge.

Support the training and supervision of med students.

Practice Policies & Governance

Adhere to all relevant practice policies, procedures, and protocols.

Attend essential internal or external meetings as required.
