Job summary
16 hours per week.
To provide a high level of support across the administration department. Tasks will vary, dependent on the needs of the day to ensure all practice administration processes,
including secretarial are completed smoothly. To support the GP partners and
other Health Professionals and Managers as required.
Main duties of the job
Work autonomously within the administration team
Manage incoming clinical correspondence in
accordance with practice protocols using workflow / docman
Support the practice secretary with
completion of referrals and their management - including audio typing
Oversee the process for report requests / subject
access requests
Support the Practice Manager with IT requirements
To carry out medical records summarising of newly
registered patients
Receive, action and share medical device alerts,
Public Health & Fraud warnings & suspicious patient alerts to the wider
practice team

- Has a planned and organised approach
- Has an ability to prioritise own workload to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent keyboard & IT skills

- Excellent understanding of data protection and confidentiality issues.

- Experience of working within a primary care setting
- Recent secretarial experience
- Experience in scanning and / or clinical coding in a primary care or other healthcare setting
