Job summary
Windmill Surgery is a well-respected and established surgery, providing primary care services to approximately 8,000 patients in Coventry, with excellent travel links.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of a receptionist working 21.5 hours per week and these are non-negotiable.
The working hours are:
Tuesday 08:00 am - 13:00 pm, Wednesday 13:00 pm - 18:30 pm, Thursday 13:00 pm - 18:30 pm and Friday 13:00 pm - 18:30 pm
Main duties of the job
The following
are the core responsibilities of the Receptionist. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to
carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and
staffing levels:
- Process personal,
telephone and e-requests for appointments
- Answer incoming
phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request
appropriately
-- Signpost patients
to the correct service
- Initiating
contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and
external agencies
- Clinically code
data on Emis Web.
- Photocopy
documentation as required
- Data entry of new
and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
- Input data into
patients healthcare records as necessary
- Direct requests
for information, i.e., SAR, insurance/solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the
administrative team
- Manage all
queries as necessary in an efficient manner
- Carry out system
searches as requested
-Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at
all times
- Support all
clinical staff with general tasks as requested
