Job summary

The Estates & Facilities Coordinator will support the effective day-to-day coordination of estates and facilities services across all Lancaster Medical Practice (LMP) sites.

The post-holder will assist the Estates & Facilities Manager in ensuring that buildings, equipment, and facilities are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and welcoming for patients, staff, and visitors. They will supervise cleaning operations, coordinate maintenance requests, liaise with contractors, monitor compliance records, and contribute to the smooth running of all estates and facilities operations.

Lancaster Medical Practice is a large, at-scale, GP provider delivering General Medical Services to around 68,000 patients in Lancaster and surrounding villages.   • Proven experience coordinating estates and facilities in healthcare or a regulated environment
  • Technical knowledge of building services (electrical, mechanical, water systems) and awareness of relevant HTM and technical guidance.
  • Working knowledge or experience of NHS cleaning routines & procedures
  • Demonstrable experience of contractor coordination, PPM administration and capital and refurbishment project delivery.
  • Use of CAFM system
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety
  • Possess a professional appearance and manner.
  • To have drive, enthusiasm and initiative.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Flexible approach.
  • Positive thinker.
  • Ability to challenge constructively.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Car Driver / Owner.

Desirable

  • Qualifications and experience desirable:
  • vocational or technical qualification in building services, facilities, estates management or relevant experience.

Experience

  • Previous experience that demonstrates good attention to detail.
  • Previous experience of Facilities Management.
  • Demonstrable experience of contractor coordination, PPM administration and capital/refurbishment project delivery.
  • Use of CAFM system
  • Experience of working in a confidential environment.
  • Previous experience of working in General Practice, NHS or Healthcare setting.

Desirable

  • Skills/Knowledge
  • Technical knowledge of building services (electrical, mechanical, water systems) and awareness of relevant HTM/technical guidance.
