Job summary
We are looking for a qualified Pharmacy Technician, registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), who is eager to advance their career in a dynamic, innovative and supportive setting. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in our multidisciplinary team, collaborating with Clinical Pharmacists, GPs, Nurses, Prescription Clerks and Administrative staff to ensure safe, effective and efficient medicines management.

There maybe the opportunity to do a day working from home once all training is completed and probabtion period has been completed successfully
We are looking for someone to work 25 to 30 hours per week
Main duties of the job
Work within their clinical competence as part of a
multi-disciplinary team to provide expertise in medicines management
Support patients to get the best from their medicines through
effective medicines reconciliation after discharge and on other transfers of
care (eg new patient registrations)
Liaise with clinicians and administrative staff to resolve
medicine-related queries
Encourage safe, cost-effective and evidence-based prescribing in
line with the BNSSG formulary, and local and national guidelines
Ensure all medication monitoring systems and protocols are
consistently run and utilised appropriately (e.g. high-risk drugs) Participate in different practice and PCN meetings to engage and
promote best practice
Undertake learning and development
of the required knowledge and skills for the practice-based work
Carry out other duties which are
appropriate to the skills and competencies of the post holder and grade of the
post, as the priorities of the service change
