Job summary
Due to a planned retirement in April 2026 we
are seeking a new Partner to join our team for 6 sessions/week. Alternative
working arrangements would be considered for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
As a
GP Partner, you will play a pivotal role in both clinical care and strategic
leadership. Youll be involved in shaping the future of the practice,
contributing to decision-making, and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective,
and compassionate healthcare. We recognise the opportunities but also the
challenges of starting a career as a GP Partner. You will be offered a full
induction period, regular mentoring session and access to relevant training
courses.
The management team meet on a
weekly basis and have a fair division of non-clinical partnership
responsibilities with regular protected
administrative time. There will be opportunities to take on clinical and management
leadership in an area of interest

Qualifications
Essential
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the GP Register. MRCGP qualification or equivalent.
- At least 2 years post-CCT experience as a GP in a UK general practice, demonstrating proficiency in managing a wide range of primary care conditions, including chronic diseases, acute presentations, and preventive care.
- Competence in addressing the healthcare needs of Mardens semi-rural population, including elderly care, paediatrics and mental health. Ability to coordinate with local community services (e.g., district nurses, pharmacies, acute trusts).
- Experience or strong interest in practice management, including QOF/Local Contract delivery, CQC compliance, and contributing to practice strategy and development. Ability to supervise/support the other members of the clinical team incl. paramedic practitioners and nursing team.
Desirable
- Additional expertise in areas such as dermatology, womens health, joint injections, or minor surgery to enhance our service offerings and meet local demand.
- Experience or enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring, as our practice supports medical students and GP trainees
