Barnby Gate Surgery is looking for an
enthusiastic practice nurse to enhance our friendly, supportive, patient
focused nursing team. We believe in individualised nursing care and we practice
nurse led chronic disease management.
Our new Practice Nurse can expect to work in
an encouraging, supportive, forward thinking, experienced practice environment
that is continually working to improve the quality of healthcare for our
patient population. We are committed to developing our staff including supporting
nurses to be come non medical prescribers, encouraging and supporting them to
develop their skills in areas such as complex diabetes, spirometry and caring
for those going through the menopause.
We are keen to recruit and welcome
applications from experienced practice nurses but are also happy to hear from
newly qualified nurses and experienced nurses with transferable skills. Full
training will be provided for the right person.
We are able to offer between 18 and 30 hours
per week and a competitive salary based on experience.
Main duties of the job
Our Practice Nurse would be expected to
undertake a range of nursing assessments and provide appropriate care or
treatment in conjunction with our clinical team and Practice Policies.
You will required to support and deliver a
high level of quality care and service based on the needs of the patient
population of which would include treatment, management plans, screening,
preventative care and patient education. In addition to this, you would also be
expected to support the Practice in meeting its contractual obligations and
delivery of enhanced service specifications.

About us
Barnby Gate is an innovative and forward
thinking Practice led by our partnership of 4 GPs. We serve and cover a local
population of approximately 14,000 patients and are looking to recruit and
welcome a Practice Nurse to expand and enhance our team.
We are a friendly, professional and caring
team who are passionate about providing safe and effective care. Our clinical
team 4 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, GP registrar, ANP, practice nurses,
paramedic, HCAs, GPAs, pharmacists and physiotherapists. We have regular team
meetings and supervision sessions. The lead nurse is a member of the management
team ensuring that decisions made for the practice are made with a nursing
perspective.
