Learning Design and Development Specialist

Job summary

The Learning Design & Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality learning experiences across both clinical and non-clinical domains. This includes digital and blended learning, curriculum development, training facilitation, and contributing to consultancy projects. You will work closely with clinical and non-clinical subject matter experts (SMEs), internal stakeholders, and commercial partners to create engaging, modular, and CPD-aligned content that supports Academicares strategic goals. Your primary focus will be to design modular programmes in womens health in collaboration with subject matter experts, transforming vision into impactful learning experiences. Youll also develop a suite of leadership, management, and consultancy programmes, both modular and standalone, while contributing to coaching and consultancy delivery.

You must work at all times within your own competence and use your own judgement, knowledge and common sense in your day-to-day activities.

Main duties of the job

Design and develop modular and standalone learning experiences across clinical (e.g. womens health) and non-clinical (e.g. leadership, coaching, consultancy) domains.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex content into engaging, learner-centred experiences.

Apply adult learning theory, behavioural science, and inclusive design principles to ensure high-impact learning.

Author content directly into learning platforms (we use Rise 360), ensuring pedagogical quality and regulatory compliance.

Scope and structure modular learning pathways aligned with CPD requirements and commercial strategy.

Contribute to the development of scalable, flexible curricula that support lifelong learning and professional development.

Maintain consistency and quality across all learning products.

Deliver engaging virtual and in-person training sessions, workshops, and webinars.

Develop supporting materials for blended learning, including facilitator guides and learner resources.

Gather and respond to learner feedback to continuously improve delivery and outcomes.

Support consultancy and coaching projects by applying learning expertise in client-facing contexts.

Collaborate with the commercial lead to align learning products with market needs and strategic goals.

Contribute to the creation of passive income products, such as on-demand modules, digital libraries, and scalable learning resources.
