Main duties of the job
The Governance Administration Assistant is a key role in
supporting the Director of Governance in areas of clinical governance and
quality assurance of the Haxby Group services delivered in Hull, Scarborough
and York. The postholder will be responsible for a range of administration
tasks and collation of reports.
The post holder will support the Director and Associate
Director of Governance in co-ordinating all key activity including annual
assurance plans and quality improvement plans. This role will include liaising
with other Directors and managers to gather information and meet timelines.
You must work at all times within your own competence and
use your own judgement, knowledge and common sense in your day-to-day
activities.

The post holder will support the delivery of the governance and quality and assurance annual work plan by:
- Monitor incoming alerts and circulate to managers following flow charts and standard operating procedures.
- Completing spreadsheets with information on a monthly and quarterly frequency
- Receiving and filing audit reports and drafting summary reports
- Working to an annual planner to send reminders and receive documents to present at meetings.
- Monitor and report frequency of multi-disciplinary meeting across each of the hubs in each city.
- Maintain a register of policies and standard operating procedures, highlighting to managers those due for renewal.
- Support the lead for patient experience team to collate monthly and quarterly reports of significant events and complaints.
- Support the Lead Clinician for Quality, Standards & Compliance in developing shared learning briefings.
- Support Head of Nursing in collecting infection prevention and control audits.
Strategy and leadership responsibilities:
- Work with the Governance team to deliver the Haxby strategy and the Governance work plan.
- Contribute to compliance with statutory and contractual standards including the Care Quality Commission regulations.
