Northern Moor Medical Practice

GP Partner

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

Due to expansion, a rare opportunity has arisen to work in a small, friendly and high performing teaching and training practice in South Manchester.

We are looking for a part-time GP Partner to join our two existing Partners, working alongside three Salaried Doctors, Practice Nurse, Pharmacy Technician, Care Coordinator, Health Care Assistant, Administrative team and Practice Manager. We also have First Contact Physiotherapists, Pharmacists, Mental Health Workers and Social Prescribers supporting our patients.

Our vision is to provide excellent care and patient experience whilst offering a great place to work and increasing our attention to environmental sustainability. Our impressive scores in the GP Patient Survey demonstrate our patient-centred approach and we pride ourselves in the quality of care we deliver, resulting in excellent QOF achievement in all areas.

Main duties of the job

The GP Partner will be responsible for making, implementing and adhering to decisions in collaboration with fellow partners and to develop and nurture professional and collaborative working relationships with all staff and external stakeholders. Act as a mentor and role model to uphold the values of our practice.

We are hopeful that the successful candidate has an interest in teaching and training and bring another area of special interest whether this be clinical, digital, research or leadership related. Experience and number of years is not necessarily essential as we value personal qualities and potential highly. We would welcome informal visits to the practice prior to any formal application and are willing to wait for the right person to join our team.

About us

Our practice has just over 5,500 patients and the list size has grown consistently over the last 4 years. We are now in a position to take on a third, part-time partner working 4 sessions per week.

Staff satisfaction is very positive, and this is evidenced by strong workplace relationships and low turn-over rate, as well as formal feedback from our GP registrars. We aim to achieve an excellent work-life balance for our teams, with social events, regular training sessions and our enthusiasm to explore new and exciting technological advances, forming a core part of our aim to make this a great place to work! As part of our commitment to environmental awareness, we recently purchased an electric bike that can be used by the staff for commuting, exercise or home visits.
