We have a rare opportunity for an Deputy Reception
Team Leader to join our team at The Robert Darbishire Practice (RDP), which is one
of 3 practices operated by Better Health MCR. RDP has two sites: the largest is
in Rusholme Health Centre and there is a branch at The University of
Manchester, in Crawford House on Booth Street East.
RDP is one of the largest GP practices in Greater
Manchester and as Deputy Reception Team Leader you will play a pivotal role in its
day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that the service received
by our patients reflects our core values of care and curiosity to deliver high
standards of customer service.

Main duties of the job
The Deputy
Reception Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Reception Team Leader in
the management of the reception team of The Robert Darbishire Practice,
including the University GP Service Branch. They will support the Reception
Team Leader in the day-to-day team operations to ensure the smooth operation of
the reception service. They will help to ensure that the reception team are
well-trained, supported and well-organised so that they provide an efficient
and effective service to our patients and clinicians, offering the highest
level of customer service.
The postholder
works with the Office Manager and Reception Team Leader to ensure the
achievement of our aims and objectives and the efficient, effective and
financially-sustainable running of the service as a whole. In particular, the
postholder must ensure that we deliver a responsive, patient-centred reception
service, which reflects our core values of care and curiosity.
The postholder will
also be required to work as part of the Reception Team to provide the
practices front-of-house service, including welcoming patients and visitors,
understanding and interpreting patients needs, resolving queries where
possible or signposting patients to the appropriate service or appointment.

The post is full-time,
37.5 hours per week, and will be mostly based at The Robert Darbishire
Practice (in Rusholme Health Centre) with some time at the University GP
Service (in Crawford House on Booth Street East), although you will also need
to be able to travel to our other sites as needed. The usual working hours are
Monday to Friday 10:00-18:30, though some flexibility may be required.
Salary will be in
the range £26,177 to £29,258, depending on experience. We offer membership of
the NHS Pension Scheme and 5.4-6.6 weeks holiday (depending on NHS service) plus
bank holidays (pro rata). (The post is not subject to Agenda for Change terms
and conditions.)
