DISPENSER

JOB TITLE Dispenser

RESPONSIBLE TO Dispensary Manager

MAIN DUTIES

Generating prescriptions

Dispensing and labelling drugs from stock

Re-ordering stock as required

Filing scripts under relevant doctor

Dealing with patient queries via the telephone and in person Referring queries to a GP when necessary

Dealing with queries from other pharmacists and hospitals

Collecting prescription money and ensuring patients complete back of the FP10 correctly

Dispensing medication via the Venalink system

Carrying out Dispensary Review of Use of Medicine interviews with dispensing patients

Attending monthly dispensary meetings and all relevant training when required

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE To work as part of the Dispensary team. To provide an efficient service to patients whilst at all times following Dispensary procedures with the emphasis on safety and confidentiality.
