Job summary

We are looking for a new team member to join our reception team and help us deliver high quality customer service to our patients, both face to face and via the telephone.

Main duties of the job

The vacancy is for initially 15 hours weekly to be worked across 3 days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) between the hours of 7.45am and 6.45pm. There will be a regular working pattern but some flexibility to cover holiday and sickness would be expected. If you are passionate about patient care and would like to work on the frontline of the NHS apply today. We offer an NHS pension. Rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience.

Cornhill Surgery is a busy family surgery in Rubery, South Birmingham serving approx. 5800 patients. Our team currently comprises of 2 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GP, an experienced nursing team and a skilled administrative staff providing support to both our patients and clinical team.

Essential

  • GCSE level 4 or higher in English and Maths
  • We are highly dedicated to quality improvement and patient satisfaction therefore the ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience of working in GP Practice is preferrable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be able to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast moving environment Have a friendly and understanding approach when dealing with staff and patients
  • Have strong IT skills and call handling experience
  • Bring a positive can-do attitude to the table
