Job summary
This is a full-time or part time hybrid role for a
Paramedic based in London, with the flexibility to work remotely on occasion.
The Paramedic will be responsible for assessing patients, making clinical
decisions, providing urgent and emergency care, and supporting chronic disease
management. Responsibilities also include delivering minor illness treatments,
conducting health assessments, administering medications, and liaising with
other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. The role requires
effective communication with patients, families, and care teams while
maintaining accurate patient records.

Essential
- Completed their two-year Consolidation of Learning period when a newly qualified paramedic.
- Completed a further three years experience as a band 6 (or equivalent) paramedic.
- Attained Level 7 capability in paramedic areas of practice.
Desirable
- Experience of working autonomously.
- An appreciation of the new NHS landscape, including the relationships between individual practices, PCNs and the commissioners.
- Broad knowledge of clinical governance.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and organisational skills with the ability to constructively challenge the views and practices of managers and clinicians.
- Good clinical system IT knowledge
Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to degree level in paramedicine or equivalent experience.
- Working towards developing Level 7 capability in paramedic areas of practice and, within six months of the commencement of reimbursement for that individual (or a longer time period as agreed with the commissioner). Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Paramedic. Is working towards developing Masters level or equivalent capability in paramedic areas of practice and has completed and been signed off formally within the clinical pillar competencies of the NHS E Paramedic FCP/AP Roadmap to practice.
