Practice Nurse

Job summary

As an experienced Practice Nurse at Churchside you will play a crucial role in providing high quality care to our patients. You must be friendly, patient focussed, calm and organised, as well as someone who communicates well with people at all levels. We are seeking someone who provides compassionate care and has attention to detail. Ideally you will have experience working with SystmOne, but full training can be provided.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our team working 32-36 hours per week. Working days would include Thursday and Fridays and the remaining days can be agreed with the successful candidate.

In terms of your clinical capabilities, you should be someone who can confidently deal with the following patient needs;

1) Monitor Patient Vital Signs and record medical information accurately2) Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care3) Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate care4) Cytology5) Baby Immunisations6) Administer vaccines and medications as needed7) Chronic Disease Management (at least one; Diabetes, COPD, Asthma)8) Educate Patients on health management and lifestyle choices9) Clinical Lead for Immunisations

Additional practice requirements would be;

10) Assisting with ordering & stock takes11) Fridge and Stock Rotations12) Phlebotomy13) Dealing with Samples14) Wound Dressings & supporting the Healthcare Assistants with these15) Assist in Minor Surgical Procedures16) Infection Control Lead
