Alderwood Medical Practice is a friendly, forward thinking, supportive practice with a list size of around 6800 patients looking for a salaried GP to join our friendly team and contribute to our practice development. We encourage openness amongst colleagues and pride ourselves on our excellent staff retention rates. The practice is situated in new purpose built premises with dedicated practice parking.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for 6 sessions over Wednesdays/Thursdays/Fridays per week from 1st June 2026. More sessions may be available for interested candidates.

Sessions will include, consultations - including telephone, video and face to face, workflow, lab results , tasks, prescriptions, home visits if required and clinical and staff supervision.

We use Emis Web and Docman alongside software supporting video consultations.

6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave pro-rata

About us

We have two GP partners, two part-time salaried GPs, a long-term locum GP, full time ANP, PN, HCA and Clinical Pharmacists. Supported by valued staff including management team, secretary and admin staff trained in workflow optimisation and coding which successfully reduces GP workload.

Both partners are trainers and the practice hosts both medical students from Keele University and GP Registrars. Candidate should be willing to be actively involved in supporting teaching and training of trainees.
