Job summary
We
are looking for an Urgent Care Practitioner or Prescribing Nurse Practitioner that
shares our passion for delivering high quality patient care to work throughout
the week supporting our Urgent Care Team.
Main duties of the job
We use SystmOne
clinical system and have a reasonable workload. With support from the GPs and existing Nurse
Practitioners you will work as part of a team responsible for providing on the
day urgent care to the patient through initial history taking, clinical
assessment, investigations leading to appropriate diagnosis and treatment
pathways.
You will demonstrate
safe, clinical decision making and acting within professional boundaries and
to work collaboratively as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. You should be an independent prescriber.
About us
We have a
diverse and skilled team that includes urgent care services. Our team comprises of 3 GP Partners, 6 Salaried
GPs, 1 regular long-term locum, 2 Nurse Practitioners, a highly skilled
Practice Nursing Team, Clinical Pharmacists, Care Coordinator, General Practice
Assistants, Mental Health Practitioners, Mental Health Recovery workers,
Social Prescriber, First Contact Practitioner. The clinical team is supported
by the Patient Services Team led by two Practice Managers. We all work together
to deliver high quality patient care with an emphasis on innovation and
technology.
We are a
teaching practice near the University of East Anglia, where we have been
training medical students for the past 2-3 years. Our practice has three surgery sites West
Earlham Health Centre, Bates Green Health Centre, and Adelaide Street Health
Centre. We care for 12,780 patients, a number that is increasing.
We are a
learning organisation and encourage and support our team to develop their
skills. We currently have one colleague training to become a registered Nurse
and another colleague training to become a Nurse Associate.
We have a GP
Registrar as well as teaching Year 5, Year 2 and Year 1 UEA GP medical students.
We also offer placement to Nursing
students and non-clinical students.
