Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Practice Nurse to join our team at
Wensum Valley Medical Practice. This position is offered at 28.5 hours per
week.
We are looking for a dynamic, committed, and experienced individual to
work collaboratively with the entire practice team, supporting the delivery of
care for the practice population, including patients with acute and chronic
conditions. The successful applicant must have experience of working in general
practice and will join a team consisting of a Lead Practice Nurse, Nurses, Nurse
Associate, Health Care Assistants, Phlebotomists and GP Assistants.
The team at Wensum Valley Medical Practice are friendly and supportive,
and we work collaboratively to deliver a high level of care and service for all
patients, who currently number around 12,850.
We are a training practice and
work across three surgery sites in Norwich. We have been providing care to the
people of Norwich for many years and have a strong focus on patient care. We
are passionate about training and supporting our staff
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have primary care experience, or someone
from a primary care background who is looking to take the next step in their
career development. You should have a specific interest and experience in respiratory
management COPD/Asthma. We welcome
applications from individuals with solid clinical and management skills who
also has a vision for service development and delivery.

GP partners and a young multidisciplinary team including salaried GPs, long
term locums, Nurse Practitioners, Lead Nurse and highly skilled Practice Nurses,
Care Coordinator, GP assistants, Pharmacists, Mental Health Practitioners and Social
Prescribing Link workers. The clinical team is supported by an excellent
administrative team with experienced managers. Team spirit is strong as is the
commitment to great patient care.
