Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Practice Nurses to join
our team who has a specialist interest in Diabetes. We are looking for excellent clinical and communication skills,
coupled with hands on, patient focussed approach. You must be forward thinking
and be able to work independently as well as being a team player. You will require full NMC registration and ideally have previous experience working as a Practice Nurse.
Main duties of the job
You must be competent in the following areas (however this is
adjustable dependant on the level of your qualification):-
- Diabetes
- Chronic Disease
Management skills
- Health promotion and
screening to include cervical smears and family planning
- Travel vaccinations
and advice
- Wound dressings
- Childhood Immunisation
- Infection control
- Other associated
duties of a Practice Nurse
- Home visits to housebound
patients and Care Homes as required.
About us
We are situated in a new and modern purpose built facility with onsite
minor surgery suite and health education facilities and we are at the forefront
of championing new ways of working. We have a clinical team of 7 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 5 Nurse
Practitioners, 1 ECP, 2 Paramedics, Practice Nurses, 5 HCAs, 1 Treatment Room Assistant and 1 Phlebotomists. Administration
and Business support is provided by the Business Manager, Assistant Practice
Manager, IT Manager and a knowledgeable Operations, Administration and Reception
team. We work together to provide the best care possible for our 19900 patients
registered at the practice.
