Main duties of the job
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Clinical responsibilities:
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, supervision, clinical meeting, clinical audit, on-call duties and medical correspondence in a timely fashion

**Role Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and compassionate part-time General Practitioner (GP) to join our team at Bolingbroke Medical Centre for 4 sessions on Thursday and Friday.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive primary medical care to patients of all ages, promoting preventive healthcare measures, and contributing to our ongoing efforts to enhance patient access, quality of care, and service delivery. **Key Responsibilities: **
1. **Clinical Care: ** Provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to patients, including diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, managing long-term illnesses, and promoting preventive health measures.2. **Quality Improvement (QI) Projects:** Collaborate with colleagues on QI projects aimed at improving clinical outcomes, patient safety, and service delivery. Take a lead role in initiatives related to QOF, ensuring adherence to best practices and guidelines.
3.**Teaching and Mentorship:** As a teaching practice, provide mentorship and supervision to medical students and trainee GPs. Share your knowledge and expertise through educational sessions and clinical supervision.
4. **Improving Access: ** Work with our team to identify and implement strategies for improving patient access to healthcare services.This may include optimising appointment scheduling, offering extended hours, and exploring alternative consultation methods such as e-consults.
5. **Multidisciplinary Collaboration: ** Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and clinical audits to review patient care, coordinate services, and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for patients.6. **Record Keeping and Documentation:** Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinical outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices. **Qualifications and Requirements: ** - Medical degree from a recognised institution. - Completion of residency training in General Practice/Family Medicine.
- Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice in the UK. - Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) or equivalent qualification preferred. - Excellent clinical skills and diagnostic abilities. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning. - Experience in Quality Improvement (QI) projects and/or medical education is desirable but not essential.
