Job summary
Park View Group Practice are looking for a GP to join their
team on 4 sessions per week. The position is salaried with potential for
partnership.
Our ideal candidate would be looking for 4 sessions per week
(all day Monday, Tuesday morning and Friday morning) and would have an interest
in womens health, although we will consider all applications.
We are an established training practice with a list size of
c10,400 patients and are situated in a busy part of Stockport. The Practice is
committed to providing a supportive environment where our staff are encouraged
to develop and grow. The team benefits from an array of experienced clinicians,
managers and GP partners who are open, supportive and make for a fantastic team
environment. We operate on 15 minute appointments and have a low home visit
requirement.
Park View are active within the local PCN and are forward
thinking in terms of developing new initiatives to tailor services to our
patients.

Main duties of the job
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to
presenting problems including history taking, examination, investigation,
diagnosis, treatment and referral.
Work with clinical and operational colleagues in delivering
a safe, effective, sustainable, innovative person-centred
medical service.
Undertake routine surgery consultation, home visits, telephone queries from patients and health care professionals.
Undertake on-call duties as part of the on-call rota.
Contribute to the development of and adhere to protocols and
care plans for the management of chronic disease.
Contribute towards meeting the indicators outlined in QOF
and other local and national targets.
Provide appropriate preventative healthcare, counselling,
education and advice.
Adhere to the Practices prescribing formulary.
Attend practice and clinical meetings.
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous
improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
Record clear and accurate consultation notes to agreed
standards and maintain patients clinical records.
Participate in clinical governance activity.
Perform clinically related administrative and non-clinical
duties necessary for the delivery of Personal Medical Services.
Engage in appropriate educational activity in order to
maintain clinical competence and performance, including participation in the
annual GP appraisal scheme.
Support the wider practice team and respond to requests for
advice and assistance.

We are large practice based in Reddish, Stockport.
We have over 10,400 patients.
The clinical team at the Practice consists of 6 GP Partners,
1 Practice Pharmacist, 2 Trainee ACPs, 1 Assistant Practitioner, 1 Trainee
Nurse Associate, 2 Health Care Assistant, 2 Nurse Associate.
The clinical team is supported by a large administration
team, with many current staff members having worked at the Practice for over 15
years.
