Job summary
We are looking for an experienced healthcare assistant to join our Nursing team who work closely together with everybody in the Practice.
Main duties of the job
To be able to work as part of a team and individually to provide safe patient care.
Flexible to work across Monday- Friday to cover holidays/sickness.
20 hours a week. Flexible to work long or short days.
Set days: Wednesday and Friday PM.
Friday AM and pm.
20 Mins paid lunch break.
Duties of the role with include:
- Phlebotomy
- Blood pressure management
- ECG
- New patient health checks, 40+ health checks.
- Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by the Nursing/GP team
- Vaccine delivery put away ensuring cold chains maintained.
- Stocking and cleaning of equipment.
- B12/Flu vaccines.
- Use of emis web.
About us
We are large practice based in Reddish, Stockport.
We have over 10,000 patients.
The clinical team at the Practice consists of 7 GP Partners, 1 Practice Pharmacist, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Assistant Practitioner, 1 Trainee Nurse Associate, 2 Health Care Assistant, 1 Nurse Associate.
The clinical team is supported by a large administration team, with many current staff members having worked at the Practice for over 15 years.
