Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic forward-thinking GP to join our practice as a GP Partner working 6 sessions per week.

Drawings dependent on experience.

Brookvale Practice looks after a population of 9000 patients, we are situated in Runcorn which has close motorway links to Manchester, Liverpool, and North Wales.

The ideal candidate will be a GP Trainer and be passionate about the future of general practice.

The successful candidate will join our friendly caring innovative hard-working team and share our ethos and approach of putting patients first. We are a highly regarded training practice rated as outstanding by CQC. We use EMIS Web, GPs have 15 min appointments with at least 2 clinicians working on call. We support GPs to develop clinical interests and develop extended roles.

About us

Our excellent clinical team consists of 9 GPs ,1 ANP, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 2 Practice Nurses 2 HCAs, extended clinical ARRS roles including Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician alongside 2 GPAs with 11 supportive reception and administration staff

Job description

Job responsibilities

The following are the core responsibilities of a Clinical Partner

There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

a. The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population

b. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance

c. Effective management of long-term conditions

d. Processing of administration in a timely manner including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks

e. On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles

f. Accept responsibility for a specialist interest within the organisation, e.g., medical trainer

g. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance

h. Contribute to the effective management of the organisation including administration, planning, strategy, etc.

i. Identify, implement and embed best practice through clinical guidelines and the audit process

j. Prepare and complete the revalidation process

Generic duties commensurate with any Partner including a Non-Clinical Partner

a. The provision of services commensurate with the PMS contract

b. Show leadership qualities, work collaboratively, ensure an even distribution of the organisations workload

c. Take responsibility for continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the organisation

d. Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF

e. Attend and contribute effectively to organisation meetings as required

f. Represent the organisation at PCN/ICB and regional meetings

g. Contribute effectively to the development and maintenance of the organisation including clinical governance, training, financial management and HR

h. Ensure compliance with the appraisal process

i. Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the organisations team

j. Remain fully focused on the strategic aims of the organisation, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure

k. Prepare and attend partnership meetings contributing in a positive manner

l. Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times

m. Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
