Job summary

Forest Medical has two vacancies (x6 sessions per vacancy) to be funded under the terms Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) for GP.

Within this role, you will be employed by Forest Medical working on behalf of Rosewood PCN which includes 4 other practices.

Please note that this role is for an ARRS GP who needs to be less than 2 years fron CCT and have not held a substantive role in the past.

The first vacancy is 6 sessions per week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The second vacancy is 6 sessions per week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Private/NHS administration work

Referrals

Filing of pathology results

Our team is made up of 5 experienced salaried GPs and 2 Partners who are well supported by our established nursing and administration team. We are based in the centre of Mansfield and we are the second biggest practice in Mansfield. We are a friendly approachable team who look forward to supporting your early growth as a GP.

Job description

Job responsibilities

In accordance with the Practice job plan, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion.

Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self- referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.

Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.

Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.

In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health. - Providing counselling and health education.

Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate - In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities

  • Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
