Job summary
We are a friendly, well-established GP practice seeking an enthusiastic Salaried GP (4-6 sessions) to join our supportive and collaborative team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within a practice that genuinely values teamwork, wellbeing and continuous improvement. For the right candidate, there may also be the opportunity to be considered for partnership in 2028/29.
The role includes:

Routine and urgent F2F and telephone appointments with late doctor sessions (rota-based)
Clinical administration including referrals, results and prescriptions supported by General Practice Assistants
Participation in clinical governance, audits and quality improvement
Shared workload within a supportive multi-disciplinary team including ARRS roles

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as an autonomous GP as part of a wider clinical team, providing high-quality, patient-centred primary medical care.
Duties include managing acute and long-term conditions, undertaking routine and urgent appointments, participating in late duty sessions on a rota basis.
Our GPs are supported by an excellent and experienced administrative team who manage document workflow, pathology results and prescription processing. General Practice Assistants also provide support with clinical documentation, including referrals and other administrative correspondence, helping to protect clinical time.
The role also involves working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement, and the ongoing development of the practice.

The following are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
- The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
- The provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
- On a rotational basis, undertake duty doctor roles
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
- Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
- Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) of QOF, any local enhanced services and/or any designated enhanced services.
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings or protected learning time sessions as required
- Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance and training
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
- Prepare and complete the revalidation process
- Commit to self-learning and instill an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
