Job summary

To provide an efficient Secretarial service to thePractice and ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. We are looking for a qualified medical secretary to join our secretarial team. This is a very busy practice and we offer excellent working conditions, including Westfield Scheme after the 6 months probationary period.

Main duties of the job

1. To maintain confidentiality at all times.

2. Making Choose and Book appointments for patients

3. Audio typing of correspondence and Referrals

4. Dealing with telephone requests and queries from both patients and any otheroutside individual or agency.

5. Liaising with hospitals and outside agencies regarding patient information.

6. Taking dictation and typing of admission letters when needed

7. Typing letters and invoices with regard to medical reports

8. Arranging ambulances and medi-cars as required.

9. Attend training sessions (internal/external) as and when required.

10. Flexibility due to the ever changing needs of the health environment.

11. Any other general office duties necessary

We have a team of 4 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 4 ANP's, 2 Practice Nurses, 3 HCA's, 7 Receptionists, 2 Medical Secretaries plus another 8 Admin staff.
