Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Prescribing Pharmacist to join Longshore Surgeries. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within the team.
Main duties of the job
The Prescribing Pharmacist will be responsible for:
- Processing repeat prescriptions
- Processing batch prescriptions
- Processing weekly vulnerable patient prescriptions
- Monitoring patients drug therapies, advising interventions, and informing patients of any potential side effects.
- Instructing patients on how and when to take prescribed medications.
- Conducting medication reviews.
- Holding medicine de-prescribing clinics.
- Monitoring CQC medicines management.

- Ordering
- Adhering to applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice.
- Run specific patient searches where required.
- Performing other administrative tasks where required.
- Keeping accurate patient records.
- Supporting a team of dispensers
The role will be spilt between three branch sites and could include remote working.
